A Strong Endorsement from Roofers Local 33

Boston, MA - July 16, 2010

Stephen Lynch was honored today to receive the endorsement of Roofers and Waterproofers Union Local 33.

Paul Bickford, Business Manager, cited Stephen’s “commitment to the issues of organized labor and all working men and women. We feel secure in the knowledge that in the future, your priorities will continue to be a strong advocate for Labor” he wrote.

In Congress, Lynch co-founded and co-chairs the Congressional Labor and Working Families Caucus to focus attention on issues facing working families.  More recently, he has been an advocate for the extension of unemployment benefits for out of work Americans. “It is shameful” Lynch said “that the very people who have been the victims of Wall Street’s reckless behavior are being penalized for circumstances they didn’t create and can’t control”.

The Massachusetts Primary election for will be on September 14, 2001. “I look forward to campaigning alongside my friends in Labor” Lynch said.
